Brian Combs

Brian is a Memphis native, who was introduced to the field of Occupational Therapy due to a sport injury. From there, Brian obtained his Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sport Science from The University of Memphis. He obtained his Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree from Davenport University in Michigan in 2018. He completed one of his fieldwork rotations at Southern Hand Centers and this solidified his desire to work in outpatient hand therapy. He was offered an opportunity to join Southern Hand Centers shortly after.  Brian has since moved to his primary work location at the VA to meet the needs of our service men and women but continues to work with SHC on an as needed basis.

Brian is passionate about maximizing patient function and helping them achieve their functional goals. He plans on completing his certification in hand therapy. He is bilingual and can communicate with patients in the Spanish language allowing him to reach out to all aspects of the community.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: Brian is a native Memphian and lives here with his wife Elsy. They both enjoy being dog parents and are avid gym goers. They love traveling together and are happy to call Memphis their home.
