Megan Brack received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2016. Megan’s original focus in OT was pediatrics, but while completing her undergraduate degree at Mississippi State, she completed an internship with a therapist that was studying for her CHT. This intrigued Megan and she learned that she loved working with hands. To Megan, hands encompass everything that OT is about; providing independence, function, and helping people achieve their purpose.
During the last year of her Master’s Program, Megan completed a three month internship with Southern Hand Centers in their Memphis and Southaven locations. After graduation, she was asked to officially join the Southern Hand team. Megan is employed as a full-time therapist in Southern Hand’s Memphis location as well as covering the contract locations. Over the next few years, Megan plans to expand her knowledge of the hand and upper extremity and in treatments of injuries under the expert guidance of her well-respected and experienced coworkers. She also plans to work towards attaining Certified Hand Therapist credentials.
